I can’t figure out how to get to an English version of the store to order the English version of Step by Step, etc…
Hello,
The shop is mainly for German customers. Because of the high costs for postage it makes no sense to send from Germany books to the US. In America you can easily find the Step by Step books at
http://www.sharmusic.com/Shop-Shar/Sheet-Music/
http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/
The latest book with two CDs “Recital Training” published by Edition Peters (it contains all pieces of violin book 4) you can find at
Peters USA:
http://www.edition-peters.com/php/stock_info.php?section=music&pno=EP11291
The download shop is bilingual: English/German. You only need to click on the flag in order to change the language.
Thank you for your interest! We hope these information will help you.
Under “Discussion Forum,” there is only a place asking for our comments.
Will there be more sections, to facilitate more discussions (such as, “Suzuki in the schools,” “Supplements,” “Questions from teachers to other teachers,” “Questions from Suzuki parents to other parents,” etc.) ??
Thank you–the Step by Step looks very good!
Recital Training looks good, too! I think the inclusion of fiddle tunes for 3 violins is brilliant! But I only see volume 1. Are the other volumes not yet published? What will the repertoire be for those other volumes?
Dear Alison, Thank you for your comment. Right now we are not able to extend this website with a large discussion forum. Our energy goes as much as possible in the daily work for the development and outworking of the Suzuki Method. But if someone would take over the job of a forum moderater we would be glad to offer an exchange forum.
Thank you for your good ideas!
Kerstin Wartberg
Dear Alison, Recital Training, vol. 2 will be published in summer 2011. The repertoire will be based on Suzuki Violin School, vol. 5 and several additional pieces. In our download shop you find the first part of the test version (Bach Gavotte I and II, Vivaldi a Minor, second mov. and Vivaldi g Minor, first mov.
The second part of the test version will come soon.
Best wishes!
Kerstin Wartberg
I like your website, very informative. However, I could not find any contact information. I recently moved to Kaiserslautern, Germany and have been unable to find a suzuki violin or cello teacher. My twin 12 yr old girls have been taking violin since they were 7 and living in Japan under Shimizu. Shimizu sensei as we call him, also studied under Dr. Suzuki at the same time that Kerstin Wartberg did, although he says that she was the favorite in the class. 🙂 We would like to continue their violin training but need a teacher. Can anyone help us? Thank you, Kaylyn
Dear Kerstin Wartberg
What a big task to have all these books prepared, printed and ready.
Your materials are invaluable to teachers and music students.

Hi Kerstin,
I enjoyed the whole workshop I got great new ideas and i am working on my students with them. Your step by step books are fantastic and for the slow speed students they enjoy them because then can play with the CD’s.
I am looking forward to the next in Germany.
Hi Kerstin,
Thank you, I enjoyed so much the workshop November 2012. I have returned with lots of fresh ideas and abundance of energy.
It is such a good idea for teachers around the world to get together and exchange ideas in an organised way.
Your books are fantastic and well planned. My students love the CD’d with the different speeds.
They can see their progress. I have implemented what I learned into my programme and see great results.
Thank you.

Hi Kerstin,
Just something else on my mind. Teachers spend their lives giving and giving and love to do it.
They forget the most important person, themselves. Teaching is very draining. We need to be replenished.
I returned home from the workshop motivated and energized. Meeting the community of Suzuki teachers gave me the injection of love and support that I needed. I look forward to the next one.

Hello,
I’m looking for a summer institute to attend with my children in Germany. I’m unable to find any, do they exist?
Thanks so much!
