It is a famous and very old German<br \/>\nchildren&#8217;s song from the early 19th century. Its text was written by Hoffmann von Fallersleben in 1835,<br \/>\nthe melody was already composed by Carl Friedrich Zelter in 1810. The song is about a singing contest<br \/>\nbetween a cuckoo and a donkey.<br \/>\nWe arranged it especially for the group of mixed-level children and teacher trainees from Pre-Twinkle up to book 6 for our Mallorca workshop.
