Developing and Testing New Teaching Materials

Kerstin Wartberg, Director of the German Suzuki Techer Training Institute, works in close cooperation with numerous colleagues, mainly teacher trainers of the European Suzuki Association, on the publication of up-to-date tutor books with companion CDs.

Their comments and those of selected teachers in America, Australia and Japan are considered for inclusion in the final edition of the new materials.

The international publishers Edition Peters and Alfred (the publisher of all Suzuki Schools) have so far published 20 items by Kerstin Wartberg. The publications are available in English, German, French, and Spanish.

Dr. Shinichi Suzuki with his wife Waltraud and Kerstin Wartberg

Dr. Shinichi Suzuki,

in his foreword to STEP BY STEP wrote:

“Kerstin Wartberg was the first German to study at and graduate from the Talent Education Institute in Matsumoto, Japan. In the many years since then, my wife and I have been in close contact with her.

I am pleased that she wants to share my teaching method and philosophy with the interested reader. I wish her publication a large circulation and hope that falls on fertile ground.”
